PHANTOM 2 SETUP

The Phantom 2 uses GPS satellites to compare it's location to the course database. It is not an active GPS location device.  As such, making sure your device has the most recent course information is important to its accuracy. The device is pretty easy to use and hopefully the below information will help you get setup for your next round of golf.

STEP 1: REGISTER DEVICE AND CONNECT TO APP

Register your device on bushnellgolf.com.

CONNECTING YOUR PHANTOM 2 TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE & BUSHNELL GOLF APP

Download the Bushnell Golf Mobile App.

  • • Alternatively, you can scan the QR code supplied in your device user manual, or search for the App using your phone's app store.

Add your Phantom 2 to the Golf App. 

If you are new to the app you will be asked to setup a device after registration, select Phantom 2.
• If you are a returning user to the app, select “See All” from the “My Devices Section”, click “Add Device”, and select Phantom 2.
Follow the on screen instructions in the app to pair and connect your Phantom 2. See below for details.

Note: After paired, once powered up the Bluetooth on/off state will be the last set state.

STEP 2: QUICK START OPERATION GUIDE

1. Charge the Phantom 2’s internal battery, by connecting the USB-C charger to the USB port on the device.
2. Press and hold the Power button to turn on the device. The Home screen is displayed.
3. To Play Golf, push the Select button from the Home Screen. The device will connect to GPS satellites. The device will
connect to the satellites faster while being outside with a clear view of the sky.
4. Choose your course, using the Up/Down arrow buttons, then press the Select button when your course is
highlighted. The Play Golf (Front/Center/Back) screen is displayed.
5. The Phantom 2 has an Auto Hole advance feature, however to change holes manually, press the Up/Down Buttons.
6. To cycle through mode/menu screens (Front/Center/Back > Greenview > Hazards and Layup points > Time >
Front/Center/Back), press the Select button.

How do I update a single course? 

Connect your Phantom 2 to the Bushnell Golf Mobile App via Bluetooth. Select the Phantom 2 from your device list, then select “Course Update,” and follow the on-screen instructions in the app to search for your course and update your device.

How do I update multiple courses or apply a firmware update? 

Please visit the Bushnell Golf Update Manager in a Google Chrome web browser, sign-up or login with your Bushnell Golf Mobile app username/password, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

What courses are available on the Phantom 2? 

You can search our courses database to see the 38,000+ worldwide courses available on the Phantom 2.

How can I tell if my Phantom 2 is charging? 

To recharge the battery, attach the smaller plug on the included USB-C cable to the port at the bottom side of the unit and connect the large (standard) USB plug (not included) to your computer. Once connected, press the POWER button - the display will show the battery icon charging. The Phantom 2 is fully charged (about 3.5 hrs from totally discharged state, less if partial charge remains) and ready to use when a full circle is displayed around the battery icon (press POWER to check charge status if not displayed).

The Phantom 2 and USB-C cable are compatible with all USB ports, including iPhone/other smartphone USB chargers.

To check your remaining battery life, select “Battery” from the SETTINGS menu.

What if I lost my charging cable? 

The Phantom 2 utilizes a standard USB-C charging cable that can be purchased at most retail outlets and online.

Are there any monthly subscription fees?  

No, none of our Bushnell GPS or laser rangefinder products require subscription fees.

Bushnell Golf guarantees the Phantom 2 GPS to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover consumer-caused damages such as misuse, abuse or repairs attempted by someone other than our authorized technicians.
