This is likely solar burn — over time the device can develop small dots from sun exposure. The dots are cosmetic and should not affect performance. If solar burn becomes substantial enough to interfere with the viewing area, contact Bushnell Golf Support for options.
The Tour V5 measures in yards or meters — the unit indicator is in the lower-right of the LCD. Press the Y/M button on the side: the top portion (Y) for yards, the bottom (M) for meters. The Tour V5 returns to the last unit setting each time it powers on.
Power the unit on by pressing the Power/Fire button once, then rotate the eyepiece in either direction until the display icons and numbers are in focus.
No. The Tour V5 is water resistant but should not be exposed to heavy rain or direct streams of water, and will not withstand submersion. Water damage is not covered under the two-year limited warranty.
Yes. Blow away excess dust or debris (or use a soft brush). Remove dirt or fingerprints with the supplied microfiber cloth in a circular motion — a coarse cloth or unnecessary rubbing can permanently scratch the lens. Breathe lightly on the lens for slight moisture, then rub gently. For deeper cleaning, use photographic lens tissue with photographic lens fluid or isopropyl alcohol — always applied to the cloth, never directly to the lens.
Replace the battery when the unit won't turn on, the display doesn't illuminate, or the display goes blank when firing the laser. Use a quality CR2 3-volt lithium battery, inserted negative (flat) end first. We recommend replacing the battery at least every six months.

Tour V5 Quick Start GuideRated 4.3 out of 5 based on 611 reviews
The Tour V5 is praised for its lightweight design, dependable performance, and ease of use. Its range finder is highly regarded for accuracy and speed, while the crystal clear optics and helpful magnet feature add to its functionality. However, opinions on customer service and some device features are mixed.
Great view, "Spot on" for myself.
If you use this in the rain you’ll regret it. Not waterproof and the magnifying objective lens will get water drops in it and you can’t see the target or read the screen. Don’t waste your money on a product with a bad design that they don’t warranty.
I like the scope and the magnet. Apparently these range finders are highly resistant to water but not water proof. I didn’t go diving with it but I did use it in the rain and it got a bit wet. It got very foggy and distorted and took about 4-5 weeks to dry out and get almost back to normal. I thought these were top of the line and also used in hunting, bird watching, star gazing… don’t use it in the rain as it is not covered if it “gets wet”.
The Bushnell company as a whole is top tier. This is my go to range finder, and I would recommend it to all. They were able to help me replace it when it stopped working and I am so thankful to have it back!!
Mine stopped working after I went to go use it a week later and then paid 20$ to send to Bushnell just for them to send it back saying the warranty doesn’t cover water damage, they said the battery component was rusted when I found ZERO flaws in the battery component. They didn’t even go out of there way to send a coupon or anything for future purposes. Will not be doing business with them again.
My V4 would not give me yardages even after changing the battery. I tried cleaning the contacts with an eraser but that didnt make a difference. Then I cleaned the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and it worked .
I had an off-brand range finder and figured I would trade up to the Bushnell. It just stopped working one day, so I changed the battery. No luck! I gave my old range finder to my son, it still works. Cannot vouch for the reliability of this one. Who saves receipts and can find one? Not me. . . . Model /tour V5, 201901
Best overall rangefinder ever made for the casual and professional.
The product works fine 80 % of the time At least 20 % of the time the rangefinder will not give me any yardage reading from various spots on a hole. Next hole or the one after that it works again. This happens a few times a round. I've had it for less than a year and this started a couple of months ago. Very frustrating. I called Bushnell but they are not taking any calls because the call volumn was too high. It is still under warrany but what good is that if they won't take your call
Excellent product!! Have been using it to the fullest of its capabilities- very satisfied. Unfortunately, for unknown reason the cap ( with the B logo) slope adjustor fell off - only found out after a round- is there any way I can order?? . . . . Thank you.
