The Wingman HD offers vibrant visuals and premium audio, with a clear HD screen and strong magnet. However, battery life and GPS tracking have received mixed reviews.
The biggest aggravation is having to navigate around your promotions to start the round. I HATE !!!! that!!! I paid good money for the device. I should be able to turn it on , select the course and get on with my day as opposed to waiting a couple of minutes for your efforts to sell subscription services to play out! Other than that MAJOR AGGRAVATION, it is a good device
Not sure about the Wingman HD, I have owned the Original wingman, and the wingman view, They were GREAT, I did not hesitate to order the HD. Does not advance hole designation all the time, need too reboot at least once a round, speaker is great, should have a better owner's instructions, it appears that Bushnell released this too soon , I am looking for a new software revision that might fix these issues. Wake up Bushnell!
Dynamic audio was awful. Volume would rise and fall at random points not matching up with the cart speed. Muted its self multiple times. I had to turn all of the automated features off. It would pick up the next tee before putting on the previous hole then you’d have to change it. It was just more than I want to deal with every hole. My Garmin watch transitioned better. Positives were having the distance readily available in the cart.
This is truly the perfect wingman! Paired with the app this has every playable course to get you in the perfect position for the shot. Let's not forget the set of pipes on this one as well to blast your favorite song so you never lose that love and feeling on the course. You can't ask for a more perfect partner on the course.
I purchased this for my partner as a birthday present. He was very excited to use it on the golf course for his birthday with his friends. While on the golf course, this product disconnected from the hole he was on, and would disconnect from the music. Each hole, we had to reconnect the product, repair, and restart this same process on every hole. After the 6th one, we gave up. I have been reaching out to your customer service team for a week and a half now to return this product, because of course there isn't an easy return option on your website. I still have yet to hear a response back besides "What is your name and address" which you could've looked up from my initial e-mail where the order number and name were provided. I will never purchase any other product that falls under the Busnell name.
I like how easy it is to connect but the battery life so far is not as long as my old wingman.
Awesome device. I’ve never used a yardage device before and it’s great to be able to just pop it off and carry it out with you when it’s cart path only or you’re walking.
Very nice product. I had the Original Wingman and I did like having the button with it and ability for it to read the distance out loud to me. Other than that, great product!
We e had nothing but trouble with the new Bushnell Wingman HD. I have an older model which has been great so I bought new one for my husband. Nothing but trouble. Shuts itself off randomly. Doesn’t automatically advance to next hole and generally headache. Hoping I can return it for refund
I bought this speaker less than a year ago. I enjoyed using when it worked. Now, it has started disconnecting from the app every other round and the only way to reconnect it is to uninstall the app and start over again. When you get to the course, you do not have time to be fiddling with the dumb speaker. The speaker will connect to the phone, but it will not reconnect to the app without a lot of fiddling and uninstalling and reinstalling... If you just want to use it as a heavy, clunky speaker, you can do this, but once you open the app, you can't even just enjoy the music without the yardages because it starts that annoying sound of a ball dropping in the cup and it interrupts the music and becomes a heavy paperweight. I am so over it! Sorry I spent the money of this piece of junk.
