Wingman Support
Getting started, FAQs, manuals, and warranty details for the original Wingman GPS speaker (product # 361910).

Getting Started
Three steps before your first round.
Wingman setup
- Register your device at bushnellgolf.com/product-registration and install the Bushnell Golf App (Android / Apple). Installing the app creates your Bushnell iGolf account (same user ID & password) — the Wingman gets its yardages from the iGolf course database, and you can virtually tour your courses to confirm they're current.
- To update your Wingman and course information, connect it to your computer and log in to the iGolf website — it will have you download the installer and update your device (up to 45 minutes). Issues with registration or updating? Contact iGolf at support@l1inc.com.
- Fully charge your Wingman and go outside when you power it on — it needs a lock on 3 GPS satellites to function.
Changing the Wingman voice
iPhone:
- Go to Settings → Accessibility → VoiceOver and tap Speech.
- Tap Add New Language and choose the language and dialect you want.
- Tap Voice, then tap the voice you want to use.
Android:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap your profile picture → Assistant settings.
- Under “All settings”, tap Assistant voice and choose a voice.

FAQs
Troubleshooting and care, answered. Still stuck? The contact options below reach a real Bushnell Golf expert.
I am having trouble pairing the Wingman
Do a full reset of the pairing: turn the speaker off, unpair the Wingman and Wingman remote in your phone's Bluetooth settings, remove the Wingman as a registered device in the Golf App, then log out, uninstall the app, and power-cycle your phone. Reinstall the app, log in, and Add New Device → Bushnell Wingman. Pair the remote first — press and hold the remote button until it beeps (twice = paired; no beep may mean its CR2032 battery needs replacing) — then turn on the speaker and accept the pairing prompt. The app should show “Connected (2 of 2)”. Finally, confirm the app's Location permission is on in your phone settings.
My Wingman will not auto advance
Two settings cause this: in the Bushnell Golf App, select your Wingman → Settings and confirm Auto Hole Advance is On under the Play Golf Speak Settings; and in your phone's app permissions, Location must be enabled (“While Using the App” or “Always” on iOS; App Permissions → Location = On for Android). Also make sure the device shows “Connected 2 of 2” — if not, re-pair the remote.
Can I replace the battery in the remote?
Yes — the remote uses a removable CR-2032 coin cell. Replace it with a brand-new, high-quality battery (Panasonic, Duracell, or Energizer). If that doesn't fix it, replacement remotes are available on our parts page.
It will not recognize my serial number when registering
The serial number is likely attached to another account and needs to be released by our software partner, iGolf. Attempt to register the device — you'll get an error with an alpha-numeric code. Send that code to iGolf at support@L1inc.com or call 858-880-0267 (9 a.m.–5 p.m. PST, Mon–Fri) and they will release the serial number.
The course doesn't match the GPS data on my Wingman
Course data comes from iGolf. Report the issue from the Bushnell Golf App: select your device → Support → Report Mapping Issue, including a photo of the current scorecard. Once iGolf confirms the update, connect your device via Bluetooth and run Course Update from the app (Nearby, Recent, or search by name).
Is the Wingman waterproof?
The Wingman is IPX6 rated but not fully waterproof. Remove all cable connections and close the port protection cover tightly after charging. Submersion, heavy rain, or strong streams of water can affect the device and are not covered under the one-year limited warranty.
Can I change the speaker battery?
No — the battery cannot be changed. Never disassemble your Wingman speaker: unauthorized service attempts can cause irreparable damage and void the warranty.
Can I clean the Wingman?
Yes. Blow away excess dust or debris (or use a soft brush), remove dirt or fingerprints with a microfiber cloth, and store the speaker and remote in a secure, dry indoor location when not in use.
