To update a single course file... Connect your ION ELITE to the Bushnell Golf Mobile App via Bluetooth. Select the ION ELITE from your device list, then select “Course Update,” and follow the on-screen instructions in the app to search for your course and update your device.
To update multiple courses at once... Please visit the Bushnell Golf Update Manager in a Google Chrome web browser, sign-up or login with your Bushnell Golf Mobile app username/password, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

I bought this watch at the PGA show in Orlando several years ago. It worked for 13 months & then it wouldn't charge anymore. I called Busnell support several times to repair or replace. The best they could do was offer me a 20% discount online for a new watch since it was out of warranty. I'm very disappointed with the watch & Bushnell for not being able to repair or unwilling to replace it.
I've had trouble with my ION Elite after about 1 1/2 years till now. The charging wire is the biggest problem. One slight jar and the magnetic charger can move enough to stop charging. When you see the battery in less than half charged, there's a good chance you might not complete the round with it on. Now the screen lasts only one hole before the ION shuts down.
This watch has all the features you would want at a very reasonable price. Except the charging cable connection is terrible and won’t charge the watch. I’ve taken two watches back with the same problem and finally gave up. I don’t trust the watch will properly charge so I divided not to purchase. Bushnell needs to recall this watch and redesign, not using the magnetic connection.
GREAT golf watch/rangefinder, at a very reasonable price. Such a convenience to have this on your wrist VS. a clunky, pricey rangefinder to hold up and wait to process its info. You CANNOT leave the ION Elite in your riding cart, like so many large rangefinders ......to be left behind after you've returned home, or never "found" by the course staff. Excellent online and 800# support by Bushnell Golf! They help ASAP. I got the ION Elite with a bundle that included a portable charger, which is NICE if you are on a road trip and may not have access to an outlet. Color screen is quite an upgrade from the original B/W screen. Slope setting is an absolute treat, if you play quality courses! My ION ELITE is now in its fourth season. Durable.
TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED! I bought the ION Elite GPS watch on Amazon sold by Amazon. After using it for 5 times which I thoroughly enjoyed using it. I couldn't charge the watch anymore, tried all the FAQ suggestions and it all didn't work. Reached out to Bushnell and they pointed me to the distributor in Singapore, Sun Golf, who rejected helping me because I didn't buy the watch from them. I reached out to Bushnell Golf again. . . . . . . . and NO RESPONSE!!!
It you just want yardage, this is the watch for you. It's hard to see the screen unless you are in the shade. When I get to the course, I have to make sure the first thing I do is start the "Golf" round so that the GPS hopefully loads the courses list before I get the the first hole. Took me 10 minutes the last time I went golfing to get the list to show up. You have to manually track your shots for the distance and there isn't a way to select the club from the watch. Trying to keep score is really difficult because you have to scroll up and down for the strokes and if your hands are sweaty it doesn't always read the swiping movement. Lastly, charging the watch is annoying at best. The magnets either aren't strong enough or the springs on the pegs that touch the charging spot are too strong. You have to make sure the charger is set just right or it does not charge
Have not been able to use it yet. I did call yesterday and talked to a representative to rectify a problem. I couldn't charge it up. He's sending a new charging cord. He said it should correct it.
Junk. Brand new out of the box and won’t fully charge. Also, charger has a hard time staying connected to the watch. Had to return and go with another brand. Bushnell, stick to range finders not yardage watches. Completely disappointed.
The Ion elite watch I bought worked for only 3 rounds of golf before it wouldn't charge anymore,after letting Bushnell know, I haven't heard much.
For the three rounds it lasted I liked it very much. After three rounds the watch battery would no longer charge. Very disappointing. Based on reviews elsewhere I would think Bushnell would have fixed this issue by now.
