LAUNCH PRO SETUP

You can use your Launch Pro right out of the box, but it is recommended that you plug in your Launch Pro and allow the battery to fully charge before use.

To power on the Launch Pro, press and release the power button. You will see a flashing blue indicator light. To power off the Launch, press and release the power button again.

General:

I'm having issues with the Launch Pro picking up my club data using the included club marker stickers...

Our Launch Pro uses three sophisticated cameras to capture and track the club marker (i.e. "fiducials") placed on the club face. This requires a specific orientation for the cameras to track properly.

"1-Dot Mode" capture would suggest the launch monitor is potential miscapturing the stickers being presented on the club face. This could happen for numerous reason, and here are a few common ones:

  • -Specular Highlights or Light Glints can appear on the toe and/or hosel of more shiny/chrome faced clubs, and this light can reflect off the club and back into the launch monitor's cameras sometimes confusing the system on the proper light object in motion.

  • - Sticker Placement can severely impact the launch monitor's ability to review the stickers individually, and if the club face being presented is either dramatically open or closed this could further obscure the devices ability to triangulate the fiducial pattern.

  • - Elevation relative to the golf ball can also cause some misreads and we suggest raising the launch monitor an equal 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch above the ball being struck.

With this being said, these miscaptures can happen every so often based on the lighting in an environment, delivery angles of the swing, and the shine/polish of the golf club material itself. From here, We would also suggest dimming/turning off some lights if indoors and retesting, then if applicable test outdoors in more shaded lighting.

 

Is my ball placed correctly relative to my Launch Pro device? (Missing Shots or Inconsistant Ball Lock)

Correct use of the Launch Pro device is very important in order to guarantee function and accuracy. This begins with proper placement of the device in your hitting area.

Proper Placement of the Launch Pro & Ball:

The device should be placed on the same level hitting surface as the ball. This is illustrated below.

If you are using the device outdoors, please be sure to attempt to always have the ball on the same level surface as the device as well. Accounting for any items that could be blocking the cameras from fully seeing the ball.

Incorrect Placement of the Launch Pro & Ball:

Incorrect placement of the device below the hitting surface will result in issues with ball lock and data accuracy. This is because the cameras on the device are unable to fully see the ball during use.

Questionable Placement of the Launch Pro & Ball:

Elevated placement of the device is not recommended, but if the cameras are able to fully see the ball and gain ball lock then the function and data collection will be accurate.

Does it matter what type of golf balls I used with my Launch Pro?

We recommend using premium golf balls. This assures the data that is gathered during use is accurate and the ball is able to be locked onto by the Launch Pro's cameras correctly.


Connecting to the Internet:

What are the available methods for connecting my Launch Pro to the internet?

To get started, scan the QR on your device to access the Foresight Sports app and follow the onboarding process. This will tell you to register your device.

The first time you power up your Launch Pro, you will be prompted to connect to the internet. We recommend using WiFi (wireless network) or connecting to a mobile device using WiFi or Bluetooth.

Note: To use all the functions of the Launch Pro, it requires online validation renewal/connection to the internet at least once every 45 days. You will see a warning if you need to connect within 5 days. After 45 days, the Launch Pro will no longer connect with any supporting apps or software and you will see a screen prompting you to connect to the internet to restore all functions. The Launch Pro will continue to work as a stand-alone device.

What is the preferred method for connecting to the internet?

Communicating with the internet can occur through the Foresight App using bluetooth, or by Connection using WiFi (wireless network) directly, or Ethernet Network Cable to a router.

Alternativly, your device will validate and communicate with the server when conected to your Foresight Sports software using, Wifi, USB-C, or Ethernet.

 

How do I wirelessly connect my Launch Pro to the internet (via WiFi)?

Connecting Launch Pro with WiFi (Wireless Network)

The Launch Pro allows for two options for wireless connection:

1. Connecting with WiFi to a Local Network

2. Connecting with WiFi directly to a computer or iPhone/iPad

Connecting Launch Pro to your Local WiFi Network (OPTION 1)

Step 1 - Select the QUICK LAUNCH MENU by pressing the tab in the top center of the display screen. Select the SETTINGS option.

Step 2 - From the SETTINGS screen, select the WiFi Option:

Step 3 - On the WiFi screen, confirm the WiFi option is set to ON. Then Confirm you are connected to a Local Network providing internet access. If needed, select to CONNECT to a network.

Step 4 - SELECT A WiFi NETWORK from the list.

Step 5 - Enter a NETWORK PASSWORD for the network you selected, if prompted:

Step 6 - Once the device is CONNECTED to a WiFi Network, the WiFi Status will reflect CONNECTED, with an option to DISCONNECT if desired. The info Option will reveal your Local Network Connection Settings should you want to review.

Your Launch Pro device is now able to access the internet and related applications can access the device when connected to the same network.

How do I connect my Launch Pro to the internet via a LAN Network (Ethernet Cable)?

Connecting Launch Pro to your Local LAN Network to gain access to the internet.

Step 1 - Locate and CONNECT your ETHERNET CABLE to the ETHERNET PORT on the back of the Launch Pro. Reference product diagram for assistance locating.

Step 2 - Then connect the Ethernet cable to a LAN PORT on your ROUTER to Gain Internet Access. If you are unable to access your router from your current location, you can instead purchase an ETHERNET SWITCH. This will allow you to connect the internet cable from your computer to the SWITCH, and then the Launch Pro and Computer as well. Allowing all items to gain internet access.

Step 3 - To Confirm your Connection, Select the QUICK LAUNCH MENU by pressing the tab in the top center of the display screen. Select the SETTINGS Option.

Step 4 - From the SETTINGS screen, select the WiFi Option:

Step 5 - Swipe to the SECOND SETTINGS MENU SCREEN (Noted by the empty and filled dots at the bottom of the menu screen). Select the DIAGNOSTICS Option.

Step 6 - On the DIAGNOSTICS menu select the NETWORK option.

Step 7 -On the NETWORK menu you will see a few pieces of information. The presence of the IPv4 ADDRESS indicates your local LAN Network successful has assigned a valid IP. This means you are now able to be on the internet using your local network.

Your Launch Pro device is now able to access the internet and related applications can access the device when connected to the same network.


Subscription Management and Gameplay:

What software subscription do I need if I want simulation?

We offer different subscription plans depending on the software you want to use. See subscription options..

Can I still buy stand alone Club Data, outside of a subscription?

No, we have made club data more accessible to all customers and removed the more expensive one-time purchase.

I had a Grandfathered Basic Subscription - will I be able to continue to use that?

The Basic Subscription (if paying $299/yr) has been removed as it was more expensive than the new Silver Subscription, which offers the customer more items for less yearly. If the Basic Subscription, originally $99/yr, will remain active.

If someone wants to move from Gold to Silver:

They can switch at the end of their current term. No credit is given mid term.

If someone already bought Club Data:

They keep it permanently, even without a subscription.

If someone has Gold but never bought Club Data:

Gold & Silver Subscription now includes Club Data at no extra cost.

If someone already has Silver:

They keep all current Silver features. Their renewal will come through at the new, lower price.

If someone asks about third party software:

Gold is still required for third-party software access. The software itself is a separate purchase.

Will the FSX software run on my current PC?

Minimum system specs required:

  • Operating System: Windows 7 or greater (64 Bit Required) Works well with Win 8.1, & 10.
  • Processor: Min Spec: Intel i5 or i7 processors (AMD processors not recommended)
  • Memory: Min Spec: 8GB system memory
    Recommended: 16GB for best performance
  • Video Card: Min Spec: Nvidia GTX 1050 ti or greater (AMD GPUs not supported)
    Recommended: GTX 1060, 1660 or 1070, RTX 2060 Premium: RTX 2070 or 2080

I've connected to the internet/registered my device by creating an FSX account/selected a software option...Now how do I use my software?

Can I use a Mac instead of a windows-based PC?

The Foresight App will operate on Apple iPhone. However, the simulation software is not compatible with Mac. Running the FSX subscription software (Silver/Gold) requires use of a gaming optimized PC.

Why do I need to put my credit card in if the device comes with a trial?

Don't worry...you will initially be charged $0.00 for the trial. This allows us to authorize your credit card for subscription once the trial has ended to prevent interruption. Upgrade or cancel at any time.

Are the software subscriptions pro rated?

If you'd like to upgrade from a previously purchased a yearly Silver subscription to the yearly Gold subscription, your final cost will be pro-rated.

If you choose to upgrade from a yearly version of the Gold level subscription to the full unlocked version (own outright), we recommend waiting until your 1st year as lapsed... as upgrade from a yearly subscription to Unlocked version of Gold is NOT pro-rated.


Shipping, Delivery & Return Policy:

When will my Launch Pro order arrive?

Your Launch Pro device will arrive in 2-5 days via FedEx. You will be provided tracking numbers via email once it leaves our warehouse. Signature required upon delivery.

Please note that Net Package and Full Simulator Packages are delivered in two separate shipments. See FAQs below for more details.  

I ordered a Launch Pro Net Package, how will my order be shipped?  

Your Net Package will be delivered in two separate shipments.

Launch Pro (1 of 2) - Your launch monitor will ship via FedEx and you will be notified via email with a tracking number once it leaves our warehouse. For all pre-orders, your Launch Pro will ship out within 30 days or sooner.

Net Package components (2 of 2) will ship via a private trucking company due to the size of the box. They will reach out to you via phone (listed in your order) within 4-7 days of you placing your BushnellGolf.com order to schedule a specific day that works for you within their delivery window. Total shipping time from order to delivery is 2-3 weeks. Upon arrival, they will place the package to an area outside the house which is accessible by delivery equipment. The package will be roughly the size of a shipping pallet so we recommend recruiting a friend or family member, as they may be needed to help move the package inside your home.

PLEASE NOTE: Shipping for this product is $650 and is non-refundable due to requirement of scheduled delivery company. After 24 hours, a fee of $250 will be incurred by the customer for order cancellation of this package purchase.

Are there any shipping limitations?

We ship to any address within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. We do not ship to P.O. box addresses or APO addresses. Additionally, we currently do not ship internationally.

What if I need to cancel my order?

Please cancel within 24 hours of placing the order. After 24 hours, a fee of $250 will be incurred by the customer for order cancellation of this package purchase.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be preauthorized for the full order amount immediately after checkout (may appear as "Pending" on your credit card statement). You will not be charged until your order leaves our warehouse.

What is the Return Policy for Launch Pro? 

The Launch Pro device may be returned within 30 days of shipment, subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Components included in the Full Simulator Package or Net Package (i.e. projector, screen, frame, hitting mat, net return, etc..) are not returnable.

One Year Limited Warranty - Your Bushnell Golf® Launch Pro is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for one year after the date of purchase. In the event of a defect under this warranty, we will, at our option, repair or replace the product, provided that you return the product postage prepaid. This warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, improper handling, installation, or maintenance provided by someone other than a Bushnell® Authorized Service Department.
